For Sam C. Jones, being in the spotlight is a childhood dream turned reality. He is an accomplished actor, singer-songwriter and composer based in Sacramento, California. After spending 3 years performing in regional theatre across the country, Sam is ready to continue pursuing his first love, music.
Having previously supported national touring acts such as Creed Bratton of The Office, Lincoln Durham and Ryan Cabrera, as well as several headlining his own shows in Sacramento and in his hometown in Northern Virginia, Sam is no stranger to performing as a musician. Drawing inspiration from musical influences such as Green Day, Glen Hansard and Elvis Presley, Sam's style of music is timeless. Focused on storytelling and heartbreaking melodies, Sam's music has been described as "moonshine rock", combining his theatrical voice with a catchy and often haunting folk-rock sound. In his own words, "Moonshine Rock is the combination of that old school country music storytelling my punk rock roots. Brushes on drums, overdriven guitars. Songs that will either make you cry or bang your head. I write music for people like me; the former emo kids who grew up, got their heart broken and turned to Dolly Parton for solace."
Sam’s debut EP Call Your Friends -- a culmination of songs written about his childhood, lost love, his struggles with social anxiety, and slaying mighty dragons-- will be available on all streaming platforms on December 30th.
