Sam C. Jones is an actor, multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter and composer currently based in Sacramento, California. He is originally from Alexandria, Virginia, just outside our nation's capital. Sam caught the theatre bug building sets for his community theatre at home, and when he took the stage for the first time in high school, he knew it was where he belonged.
Sam has appeared around the country as Elvis Presley & Carl Perkins in the hit musical Million Dollar Quartet and has been a regular artist with the Sacramento Theatre Company for the last four years. Other theatrical credits include The Legend of Georgia McBride with Phoenix Theatre Indianapolis (Casey) A Midsummer Night's Dream with the Davis Shakespeare Festival (Lysander) and Ragtime with Berkeley Playhouse (Younger Brother). Other theatres include the Hippodrome State Theatre, Sierra Repertory Theatre, New Helvetia Theatre and the IN Series Opera. Most recently, Sam played Jim and served as the music director for The Sacramento Theatre Company's production of Pump Boys & Dinettes.
As a singer-songwriter, Sam’s music is timeless; focused on biting lyrics and heartbreaking melodies, Sam's music has been described as "moonshine rock", combining his theatrical voice with a catchy and often haunting folk-rock sound. Sam’s debut EP Call Your Friends -- a culmination of songs written about his childhood, lost love, his struggles with social anxiety, and slaying mighty dragons-- is available now on all streaming platforms.
Sam holds a BA in Musical Theatre & Dance from Christopher Newport University. He is proud member of Actor's Equity Association.
