Meet Sam

Sam C. Jones is a Washington D.C. based actor, musician and bandleader.

Virginia-born and raised on a steady diet of hard rock and show-tunes, Sam graduated from Christopher Newport University with a degree in Musical Theatre & Dance and immediately moved to California to pursue his dream of performing for a living. He worked for the Sacramento Theatre Company for four seasons and was featured in several productions including Man of La Mancha, The Tempest, A Christmas Carol and Pump Boys & Dinettes. In 2020 Sam moved back to the DC area, where he currently lives.

The world of actor-musicianship has taken Sam all over the country and allowed him to meet incredible performers who have become life-long friends. He has been lucky to perform in the hit jukebox musical Million Dollar Quartet several times over as Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash and Carl Perkins. Some of his favorite theatres include Ogunquit Playhouse, Bucks County Playhouse, Rocky Mountain Rep and the Hippodrome Theatre. Sam is a proud member of Actor's Equity Association.

Outside of his life in theatre, Sam is an acclaimed singer-songwriter and bandleader. Sam has earned a reputation for his energetic live performances, singing and guitar chops and ease with which he commands the stage. His debut album Overdue Confession II is a love letter to the rock n' roll and Americana artists he grew up loving; Johnny Cash, Jacksone Browne and Cat Stevens. He is also a huge fan of Tom Petty, the Black Keys and Jason Isbell, and these influences show up in his writing. His band, Sam C. Jones & the Sinners performs all over the DC area has has toured up and down the East Coast with popular country and rock n' roll bands.

Sam also has a tribute show called Rockabilly Rumble! which tours all over the United States. They are currently booking dates for 2025.

"Sam C. Jones is a threat. Or better said, a triple threat."
- Mark Caicedo, Park Life DC
